UAE backs asthma medication

UAE health authorities have said that an asthma medication which has been criticised in a US study is safe to use, reported Gulf News. The study found that beta-agonist medications caused four out of every five asthma deaths and that users were 3.5 times more likely to die from asthma and 2.5 times more likely to be hospitalised. But asthma expert Dr Bassam Mahoub said the report had several flaws.
