Mideast, $4.7bn on e-security

The Middle East spent $4.7bn on e-security services last year, the second highest amount in the world and a 15.6% increase on the previous year. This is according to a report published by the International Data Corporation that expects this figure to reach $5.6bn in 2006 and $9.3bn by 2009, with a compound annual growth rate of 18.6%. The Americas region topped the list with $8.1bn spent last year.
