DM holds strategic planning workshop

The Administrative Development and Quality Department of Dubai Municipality on Saturday held a workshop on strategic planning and methods of organizational excellence.

Eng. Hawa Bastaki, Director of the Administrative Development and Quality Department said that the workshop was part of a series of similar events aimed at familiarizing the employees with the basic strategic planning concept and enhancing their abilities in the field of preparing, designing and laying down the strategic and operational plans in their organizational units, in addition to following up their implementation and the application of scientific bases in this field.

Nahla Al Manshawi, Senior Corporate Planning and Policies Officer added that the training materials in the workshop included comprehensive information on the methods and requirements for laying out strategic plans; bases of SWOT analysis in the internal and external organizational environment; follow up methods and drawing up strategic plans, in addition to a number of appropriate scientific exercises.

She said that today strategic planning has become a basic necessity and inevitability in the field of municipal and governmental work.
Al Manshawi said the workshops have been receiving tremendous response from employees of all organizational units in the Municipality.
