Grand Hyatt Amman welcomes new food and beverage director

Internationally experienced, overwhelmingly self-motivated, enthusiastic and a person who thrives on challenges, Harun Dursun is the new Director of Food and Beverage at Grand Hyatt Amman.
Harun earned his first degree from Cukurova University in Mersin, Turkey, after which he went on to gain a Master's degree in International Hospitality Management from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland. Since then, he has continuously proven his outstanding skills and innovative spirit.
Harun began his career with Hyatt International in 1998, when he began work as an outlet manager at Hyatt Regency Istanbul. In 2002, Harun was promoted to Assistant Food and Beverage Director. His outstanding performance and dedication to the company was particularly noted during his two-year tenure as an Assistant Food and Beverage Director at Hyatt Regency Birmingham, as it was when he contributed and still is today to the successful opening of Hyatt Regency Kiev.
In addition to his broad international experience in Food and Beverage, Harun became Turkey's first official sommelier in 2000. Following this distinction, he went on to be a semi-finalist in the most prestigious sommelier competition in Europe, held in Reims, France. He was subsequently also a demi-finalist in the Best Sommelier in the World competition held in Canada in 2000. Since then, Harun has participated in three European and two World Cup competitions. He is currently Vice President of the Turkish Sommelier Association.
Outstanding dedication and an enduring love of Food and Beverage are an understatement of the excellence that Harun has demonstrated as a Food and Beverage Director. Harun is excited about his new role and ready to share his outstanding experience, exceptional management skills and undoubted expertise with everyone at Grand Hyatt Amman.
