The annual awards ceremony will be held at the Park Hyatt Dubai on Sunday 12th November 2006, and principal sponsor BOSE will also be providing all the sound management for this prestigious event.
'Hotelier Middle East is pleased to be joined by such a well established company as BOSE for its third annual Awards event. This is a prestigious night for the hospitality industry and having the right partner in place is imperative to the smooth running of this event,'
said Walid Akawi, CEO of ITP Business Publishing.
'BOSE is delighted to team up with the Hotelier Middle East Awards. These awards truly honour the best of the hotel industry, and as the region's premium sound system provider, BOSE is the perfect partner to really enable the industry to shout out about its stars. We are proud to join Hotelier Middle East in its quest for excellence in the hotel field,' said John Dodson, General Manager of BOSE Export in Dubai.
'Much like the stars of the hospitality industry, BOSE sound systems work behind the scenes to provide that extra touch to any occasion, be it providing audio solutions for a corporate event or by offering ambient music at a fine dining restaurant, and our systems are in place in many of the region's five-star properties,' Dodson explained.
BOSE provides audio systems for all parts of a hotel property, including the public spaces, food and beverage outlets as well as the guest rooms, with its Wave Music Systems, 3-2-1 systems and Lifestyle Systems proving popular with five-star properties.
The Hotelier Middle East Awards offer the industry a chance to nominate those back of house heroes that so often go unnoticed. With properties claiming seven-star facilities and services, hotel staff are continually pushed into going the extra mile. Yet, how often do we notice when a bed is well made, table clothes are crisp, or corridors are gleaming? All too often the spotlight is placed on the marble lobbies or the crystal chandeliers, the cutting-edge audiovisual equipment or the stunning architecture. The Hotelier Middle East Awards aims to redress the balance, by awarding those working in a broad range of front and back of house roles.
The Hotelier Middle East Awards invites nominations in the following categories: Chef, General Manager, Procurement Person, HR Person, Spa Person, Gym Instructor, IT Person, Stewarding, Front Office Person, Laundry Manager, Housekeeper, Outlet Manager, Marketing / PR Person, F&B Manager, and the grand prize, The Hotelier's Hotelier of the Year: a category open to anyone that works in hotel operations. This award is for the real unsung heroes, those that chop vegetables all day, sweep lobby floors, valet park cars, clean rooms, and always manage to have a smile and a 'Can do' attitude.
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, to be held at the Park Hyatt Dubai on November 12.
