UAE prepares for FNC elections

The UAE has set up a national electoral committee to oversee the indirect elections for half the members of the Federal National Council, WAM reported. The inaugural elections will take place before the end of 2006, Minister of State for ANC Affairs Dr Anwar Gargash told the news agency. Members will be elected by an electoral college of each emirate.
