Sharjah Int'l Airport receives first flight in new arrival hall

Sharjah International Airport has received the first flight in the new arrival hall.
Several officials were there to welcome the first passengers; Dr. Ghanem Al Hajri Director General Dept. of Civil Aviation and Sharjah Airport Authority, airport directors, representatives from the airport police, airport immigration, airport customs, DUFRY, Bin Laden group (contractor for the project), GHD-the consultants and designers of the phase, Projacs-the project management company and other airport's clients.
The Arrival Hall space is increased from 90 square meters to 500 square meters and is one phase of Sharjah International Airport Expansion project which once completed will accommodate 8 million passengers annually.
