Construction work at International City on the Emirates Road is about to focus on the Lake District sector, including the preservation of the Al Warsan Lake, a man-made wetland, home to around 180 different bird species, reported Gulf News. Nakheel, the developers on the project, said that the area would become a protected sanctuary with educational facilities. Residential units will be built around 1km from the wetland.
