AD, Dubai power link up

The Emirates National Grid has taken a step forward with Abu Dhabi and Dubai now able to exchange electricity following a recent interconnection, reported the Khaleej Times. Other aspects such as the power link up with other emirates and the development of infrastructure, such as overhead cables and sub stations, is still ongoing. The UAE hopes to be part of a GCC wide power network by 2010.
