DM issues first set of smart forms to replace manual forms

Dubai Municipality has introduced a set of smart application forms as part of its e-Government project which will transfer more than 120 manual forms into smart ones.
The second form is for Permit for discharging ground water (Permit for discharge ground Water). This service is for issuance of permit for discharging ground water to the sea, which is to control and monitor ground water quality and to ensure the protection of coastal environment including coastal erosion. Prior to discharge, it is necessary to obtain approval from Drainage and Irrigation Department and General Projects Department.
The third form is for permit to draw water from sea (Permit to Draw Sea Water). This service is for the issuance of permit to draw water from sea. Construction projects and road works that requires a large volume of water for ground leveling and compacting may draw water from sea provided that all requirements have been complied with, this is to ensure the control of environmental pollution from pumps and the best safety practice are observed.
The fourth form is for Permit for Constructing Artificial Reef (Establish Artificial Reef). This service is for issuance of permit to construct an artificial reef. Artificial reef that will be used for scientific purposes or to raise certain specie of marine life shall be built with environmentally sound material, thus preventing the pollution of marine environment with unwanted material.
The fifth is for Permit for Transportation of Hazardous Waste (Hazardous Waste). This service is for the issuance of permit for the transportation of hazardous waste. In order to control the transportation by road of any hazardous waste within the Emirate of Dubai, only companies with vehicle approved by Environment Protection and Safety Section of Dubai Municipality are allowed to conduct such activity. Technical Guideline No. 50 specifies the requirements for the approval of vehicle for the transportation of hazardous waste.
The sixth application form is for Appealing the Issuance of Public Cleanliness Violation (Appeal on the issue of fine). This service is for appealing against the public cleanliness violation issued to any individual / company. Violation on the provisions of the Local Order No. 11 of 2003, which concerns on Public Cleanliness in the Emirate of Dubai, is subject to penalty. However, penalty can be cancelled if there is lack of evidence exist to prove the violation.
The seventh application is form concerns Waste Collection Services (Waste water Collection), which is for approval of providing waste collection services for buildings and residential commercial complexes. Service is provided subject to the procedures and regulations of Dubai Municipality.
