Bin Sulayem meets with Gold Coast tourism delegation

The Director General of the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Mr. Khalid A bin Sulayem, received a delegation from the Australian Gold Coast Tourism Corporation in Dubai recently.

The delegation comprised of Mr. Pavan Bhatia, Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. Allan Brooks, Director -Emerged Markets of Gold Coast Tourism Corporation. The two parties discussed different ways of boosting bilateral cooperation particularly in the field of trade and tourism.

The Gold Coast City in Australia has proved to be an attractive destination for investors, migrants, leisure and business travellers and has been rated as one of the leading tourism destinations in the world.

The discussions were very fruitful with both sides agreeing to cooperate, share and enhance each others visitor experiences.

Australia continues to be a key market for Dubai with the year 2005 witnessing a 46 per cent increase in the number of Australian hotel guests in Dubai.
