Thuraya awaits Libya approval

The UAE's Thuraya Telecommunications Company is waiting for approval from the authorities in Libya to launch its public call offices service in the country, reported Gulf News. Thuraya's Chief Commercial Officer Saeed Al Hamli said that around 500 PCOs have so far been installed out of a planned total of 3,000, but clearance was needed before operations could commence.
