Mideast airlines to grow rapidly

Middle East airlines will experience 10.7% annual growth in traffic for the next seven years, followed by a more modest 3.5% per year until 2023, according to figures by Airbus and UK-based Global Insight Forecasting Group cited by Gulf News. Regional airlines, which carry around 5% of all pasengers globally, will average 7.1% growth over 20 years, compared to China's 8.2% and a 5.3% world average.
