Hewlett-Packard brings the Compaq Presario notebook back to the Middle East

HP Middle East launched the new Compaq Presario V5233EA notebook in Carrefour stores across the UAE at an 11pm event yesterday, which attracted consumers and key media members from all over the region.

Held at ten Carrefour stores across the UAE, the event celebrated the launch of the new Presario and enabled customers to be one of the first to purchase the new notebook during the one hour launch until midnight.

"HP is re-introducing the Presario in the Middle East to meet consumer demand for a notebook that offers high quality and performance at a very affordable price,"


said Anil Gandhi, General Manager, PSG, HP Middle East. "As the market in the region grows exponentially and matures - there is room for a reliable, branded product at the entry level of the spectrum," he added.

The new powerful Presario notebook offers value for money and comes fully equipped with Genuine Windows XP Home Edition and Intel® CoreTM Duo processor and weighing just 2.98 kilograms, so is designed to allow individuals the freedom and flexibility to work anywhere, offering a highly mobile package.

For high-definition video output and gaming, the notebook is powered by Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, offering vivid images and true-to-life action.

Fitted with Microsoft Works 8.0, Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 and Microsoft Outlook Express software, Adobe Reader 5.0 software along with Sonic Digital MediaPlus and Sonic MyDVD software. Sharing music, photos and other files is simple, with a 6-in-1 memory card reader and a DVD +/- R/RW optical disk drive, it is easy to burn data onto CDs and DVDs.
