LG Electronics wins three EISA Awards

This time, the global and regional digital leader was voted by EISA (European Imaging and Sound Association) members in three major categories - 'European Plasma TV 2006-2007', 'European Digital Video Recorder 2006-2007', and 'European Home Theatre Innovation 2006-2007'.

EISA is the largest editorial multimedia organisation in Europe, with a membership of 54 audio, mobile, electronics, video, and photo publications drawn from 18 European countries. Top officials of LG Electronics will receive the awards during an official ceremony on September 1, at IFA Berlin, the world's largest consumer electronics trade fair taking place from September 1-6.

While LG's bestselling plasma television, LG 42PC1RR, was voted as the 'European Plasma TV 2006-2007', its flat wall-mounted projector-AN110, won in the 'European Home Theatre Innovation 2006-2007' category. The high-definition, wall-mounted DLP(Digital Light Processing) projector already won three major design awards; iF Award (International Forum Design), reddot Award, and IDEA (Industrial Design Excellence Award).

EISA participants also voted LG's DVR RH200MHS as the 'European Digital Video Recorder 2006-2007'. This trendy digital solution takes the home entertainment experience to an entirely new level, delivering enhanced video and audio and providing innovative recording capabilities with a250 GB hard disk.

The super multi-recording (DVD-RAM/+RW/-RW/+R/-R/+R DL) makes the DVD recorder highly flexible and compatible with any format of storage media.

The winning products for the EISA awards are recognised for possessing the most advanced technology, desirable features, satisfying ergonomics, and being the ultimate expression of design and best value for money. EISA recognises the features most likely to be appreciated by technology-aware public seeking high quality and creative facilities.

Kim noted that the LG 42PC1RR would continue to set the benchmark in terms of quality television experience. The 42-inch Plasma TV features a built-in Digital Video Recorder (DVR) along with an integrated pause function, the first of its kind in the world.

LG's flat wall mounted projector AN110 is a revolutionary new approach to home theatre design, resembling contemporary art more than a piece of home theatre equipment.

The high-definition (HD) DLP projector employs two patented LG technologies; a L-type projection lens enabling LG's engineers to create a sleek projector suitable for wall mounting, and LG's Reverse Type Total Internal Reflection (TIR) Prism - a two-dimensional structure that allows for optimum uniformity of 98 per cent.
