"Abdelrahman and Nouraddin are core members of our team and have made a huge contribution to the firm over many years," says Paul Sheridan, Managing Partner of Denton Wilde Sapte's Muscat office.
"We are continuing to expand our market position on the back of a number of major projects now under way in the Sultanate, and a critical element of our success has been the ability of Abdelrahman and Nouraddin, and other Arabic speaking members of our team, to advise in both Arabic and English."
Recent high profile work undertaken by the office - which now has 17 fee earners, including two partners and two Senior Counsel - includes advising Fitch Ratings on its role in the US$15 billion Blue City megacity project and assisting the Commercial Bank of Qatar in its acquisition of the Diners' Club Credit Cards franchise in Oman. The office has also recently been appointed by the Oman Government to advise on a substantial IWPP project in the South of Oman and the first privatisation of an hotel in Oman.
Abdelrahman's practice is largely contentious work - both litigation and arbitration - and in particular he has a considerable experience in contentious tax and construction issues.
Nouraddin specialises in projects and banking and his practice also covers mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures.
