Al Arabiya tops ratings

Al Arabiya was the preferred TV broadcaster in July for regional viewers wanting news on the Lebanon conflict, according to data from Ipsos-Stat. Dubai-based Al Arabiya achieved its highest ever ratings at 230 points for the month, compared to 171 points for Al Jazeera. It drew twice the viewers than Al Jazeera, with 17% of the population tuning in on a monthly basis, compared to 12% for the Doha-based broadcaster.
