During the conference, Mr. Majdi Aggad, Indirect and Retail Sales Manager at XPress, spoke in detail about the new social development program, through which XPress trained 16 orphans in two of its showrooms during the months of July and August.

The orphans, either continuing their secondary or college education in public high schools and universities across the Kingdom, were all trained to handle issues related to marketing and customer relations. The training took place at XPress showrooms at Mecca Street and the Wihdat area of Eastern Amman, and all participants testified to the great benefits they gained as a result.

Mr. Aggad took the conference as an opportunity to state the objectives behind launching this unique program, stating that the program stems directly from the firm's strong sense of social responsibility.

Elaborating further, he said, "This initiative falls in line with the general trend of giving seen in the Kingdom. Throughout Jordan we see organizations stepping forward and extending their aid and assistance to people in need. We at XPress wanted to take part in this act. We have selected distinguished orphaned students attending public schools and universities across the Kingdom, to take part in our program and I am proud to say that we have successfully achieved our goals.

'It fills my heart with joy to see these young individuals so eager to learn, for over a period of one month they have successfully expanded on their selling skills and on their ability to deal with customers. I hope that our efforts will help expand their horizons further, since I know for sure that this training has contributed to providing them with the tools they need to excel in the corporate world."

From his end, and on behalf of all the participating students, Majd Al Qasim of Dar Al Iman, thanked XPress for all its efforts.

'This experience has truly been an enriching one. Through it we learned how leading telecommunications firms such as XPress Telecom use the latest techniques of selling, customer care and marketing to expand their client base. On another level, this training has helped us learn more about the telecommunications sector in general, a sector that was otherwise foreign to us. On behalf of my colleagues and myself, I thank XPress Telecommunications for their efforts and for the interest they have taken in us.

'Their genuine willingness to teach and give to the community has created in me an inspiration that I will take with me in what ever track of life I choose for my future career. I thank XPress for all their great work,' added Al Qasim.

Ending the press conference on a positive note, Mr. Esam Saleh, XPress Chief Sales Officer, and Mr.Majdi Aggad handed out certificates of recognition and cash awards to all students completing the one month course.
