Apple, 1.8m batteries recalled

Just ten days after Dell recalled more than 4m laptop batteries, for fear of fire risks, Apple has announced that its customers need to return almost 2m more, reported the AP. In a press release on Thursday, Apple said that two notebook users had suffered minor burns due to their batteries overheating; the recall will affect more than 1m Apple laptop users in the US alone.
