Egypt sets cement price cap

The Trade and Industry Ministry in Egypt has introduced a price ceiling for bagged cement bought from factories, reported Reuters. Cement will now cost $50.5 a tonne, down from the H1 level of around $57.9. The move will cut cement producers' profits but is expected to boost the construction industry.
