BUiD's students come from a wide range of backgrounds. Many are already active in the workforce and are looking for opportunities to enhance their career by gaining further qualifications. Others progress directly from undergraduate programmes in universities and colleges around the region.

Students from Abu Dhabi have been an integral part of the British University in Dubai from its launch in 2004, with the first graduating at a ceremony last month.

The Abu Dhabi open day, scheduled for 3-8pm on Sunday at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Hamdan Street, will offer prospective students the chance to meet with BUiD's academic staff to discuss the programmes and understand how enrolling at the University can help extend their personal and professional horizons.
