Batelco congratulates summer employment students

Mr. Gabriel praised the students who did their industrial training within the Finance and IT units and thanked them for their hard work and achievements. He also presented each student with a certificate of appreciation and a commemorative gift to mark the occasion.

Providing work placement opportunities is part of Batelco's social obligation to the community. Throughout the summer months, 70 students have gained valuable experience working in various departments throughout the Company.

The group included students from the University of Bahrain, Bahrain Training Institute, Ministry of Education, overseas universities and other private universities in Bahrain.

Batelco continually provides opportunities to new graduates to gain work experience by offering them places throughout the Company and assigning them challenging tasks. Eighteen graduates have been offered permanent positions within Batelco during the past year.

Additionally, Batelco supports a number of high achieving students who are the sons and daughters of employees, through the Batelco Scholarship scheme which provides ten places every year to embark on a BSc at the University of Bahrain. At present, fifty students are benefiting from this scheme.
