- Oman: Monday, August 28 - 2006 at 12:39
- PRESS RELEASE
The employees of the Radisson SAS Hotel recently rallied to donate blood in a camp held at the hotel.
Blood donation by individuals and conducted through organizations is vital to aid accident victims or for surgery requirements. All donors are tested in order to determine if they are healthy enough to donate. All donations are thouroughly screened at the blood bank. The department conducts visits on a daily basis to various establishments and companies.
The hotel's involvement in this local activity is part of a responsible business campaign headed by George Thomas who is responsible business co-ordinator for the hotel. "Responsible business covers various environmental, social, economic issues and our company's responsibility towards them. Here in Muscat we are endeavoring to fulfil our duty towards the community as part of a conscientious company." Says George. "We also have activities planned to target conservation of energy, charity etc. which are in line with our company's overall responsible business plan".
