Oil at $100 would hurt US

Oil at $100 a barrel could push the US economy, the world's largest, into recession, according to a survey of 195 forecasters by the National Association for Business Economics cited by Reuters. But most forecasters don't believe prices will go that high. The median forecast for next summer's oil price was $75 per barrel.
