"We are constantly developing ground-breaking solutions to provide greater versatility and convenience for the most demanding photographers," said Jacob Alex, Channel Manager, Middle East, Adobe Systems.
"Adobe® Lightroom™ has been designed for professionals and amateurs alike, to effectively assist with projects on-location, in the studio or office."
A key feature, the 'Quick One-to-One Zoom' functionality allows photographers to rapidly scroll through hundreds of images and instantly magnify the finer points within an image. Combined with Adobe® Photoshop® software's editing power, the solution provides a clear path for taking images all the way from processing to final presentation.
"A significant number of professional photographers operate on the Windows platform, and Adobe Lightroom™ Beta is designed to support their workflow needs," said Kevin Connor, senior director of product management for Digital Imaging at Adobe.
"We have over 3,000 Beta testers actively participating in our Lightroom™ Beta for Macintosh forums and we're looking forward to extending this invaluable dialogue to the Windows community. Cross-platform support gives us the unique opportunity to incorporate feedback from the entire photographic community, ensuring that everyone can participate in the Beta process," Connor added.
The solution also addresses photography workflow requirements that include viewing detailed before and after comparisons of non-destructive edits and dynamically previewing print output of multiple images with flexible layouts.
Although Windows and Macintosh versions of Lightroom™ is currently made up of different feature sets, the core remains consistent across platforms focused on efficiency and quality from capture through output. As the Beta for each platform evolves, the features will converge and the final released versions will be the same.
