New times to tune in

The newly adopted Friday-Saturday weekend system has had an impact on the programming of some of the UAE's radio stations, reported Gulf News. Jeff Price, the Head of Programming at Radio 1 and Radio 4, said that more sports programmes would now be scheduled for Saturdays, while local Hindi stations, Channel 4 FM and Hum FM, are re-scheduling some children's and family shows from Thursdays to Saturdays.
