A conclusion ceremony was organized by DFM where UAE Nationals received awards and certificates in recognition for their participation in the programme.

The 2-month training programme, launched on July 1, 2006, was designed to provide a 360 degree view about the functioning of the stock market and its intermediaries, importance of getting companies, bonds and other securities listed on DFM and the overall contribution of DFM to the UAE economy.

The programme featured a judicious mix of practical and theory classes, work-modules on DFM's various departments and classes at the brokerage firms' premises.

Buthaina Al Saiqal, Training Officer, DFM, said: 'The summer training programme concluded successfully. DFM believes in nurturing young 'National' talent and invests heavily in human resource training programmes. The summer training programme is an annual feature and is designed to shape students' career, enhance their understanding of stock markets and enlighten them about developments in this field.'

'This year's program was different from the previous years, in that DFM introduced new activities which were appreciated by the students,' she concluded.
