The Pharaons International Cross Country Rally 2006 gears up with Travco

Travco has been chosen by JVD International, the organizing company of the International Rally of the Pharaons 2006, which marks its 23rd anniversary held under the patronage of the Minister of Tourism Mr. Zohair Garannah, as the official travel partner in the international cross-rally 2006.
After days of outlining the stunning southern Egyptian desert, Jacky Ickx, director of JVD International S.R.L, says, "We found a very interesting track of spectacular unheard places." 300 participants, representing ten countries, are to start by the first stage of the 2800 km long race under the Sphinx on October 3rd pushing south to Baharia. From there, the rally's second stage begins, heading to Dakhla. The rally's third stage is from Dakhla to Farafra and the forth stage is from Farafra to Baharia. From Baharia, participants race to Siwa in the fifth stage and back to Baharia again in the sixth stage, where they reach the rally's final stage and race back to Giza on October 9th, 2006 to end the rally followed by the final ceremony to announce winners.
This year, JVD International S.R.L enriches their fans experience with the extended drive in the Egyptian desert, over 70 metres-high dunes, majestic canyons, extraordinary pinnacles of sand, and soothing oases. Confirming the race of FIA World Cup and FIM World Championship, Pharaons International Cross Country Rally 2006 is set to rediscover the mysterious lands of Egypt through seven stages while ensuring the highest in safety measures. JVD International S.R.L announces that registration for the 2006 rally is open till August 31st.
Launched in 1982, Jacky Icks, Vincenzo Lancia and Daniele Cotto, famous rally drivers, converted their passion for engines and adventures into JVD international organization for rally competitions in 1998, where great performances, unspoilt nature experiences and pleasure are combined. By 2000, this competition became included in the FIM Tout Terrain World Championship.
