The milestone event, held for the third consecutive year, was exceptionally remarkable this year as the company announced a donation of AED1,000 for every guest attending the Awards ceremony. The entire donation of AED 300,000 was handed over to the Mohammed Bin Rashid Humanitarian and Charity Foundation for relief efforts in Lebanon. The Awards Ceremony recognizes the role of Tamweel's business partners and affiliates for their significant contribution towards the company's growth since its launch in March 2004. It also epitomizes Tamweel's continued commitment to the UAE and regional markets.
Among the partners and affiliates who were honoured at Tamweel Awards Ceremony 2006 were Emaar Properties, Dubai Sports City, Sorouh Real Estate, ETA Star, Vakson Real Estate, Deyaar, Better Homes, Landmark, Emirates Airlines, Dubai Holding, ABN Amro Bank- UAE, Dubai Islamic Bank, Emirates National Securitisation Corporation (ENSeC), Emirates Islamic Bank, The National Investor, DIB Sharia Coordination Department, Cluttons, Lands Department - Government of Dubai, Nakheel and Bates PanGulf. Individual awards were also given away to Mohammed Kamal, Aziz Memon and Saeed Al-Suwaidi.
