Zee Arabiya kicks off with VJ Hunt at Fusion 2006

Zee Arabiya, the youth television channel of Zee Network, will be the official TV channel for the upcoming youth festival - Fusion 2006 - to be held in Dubai from 21st to 23rd September at Dubai Airport Expo.
The three-day festival will feature the best local talent in terms of music, fashion and lifestyle with a range of iconic brands participating as sponsors and promoters. It will exhibit hundreds of major fashion and lifestyle brands, 12 fashion shows and a music act every night with some of the best VJ talent in town.
Not only will Zee Arabiya telecast parts of these exhibitions and music acts; it will use the festival as a platform to kick off its Zee Arabiya VJ Hunt. Elias Mouawad, Director Special Projects of Real Media-Zee Network said, "We are looking for young, vivacious, bilingual VJs who are charismatic, have a grasp over different genres of music and yet possess an individual and distinctive style".
Registration forms for participation in the VJ Hunt contest will be available at Zee Arabiya and Fusion websites; all Virgin stores in U.A.E. Aspiring VJs who are unable to register beforehand, will also be able to register at the Zee Arabiya booth created at the festival location at Airport Expo Hotel. There will be on-the-spot, walk-in auditions of participants throughout the three days with a panel of celebrity judges to shortlist the best VJ talent. All that one is required to take along is the registration form, 3 passport size photographs, photocopies of visa and passport and, of course, tones of attitude!
Zee Arabiya will later hold a grand finale for the VJ Hunt in November 2006 and the selected winners will go on to win a lucrative contract with the channel to work on some of their prime properties.
