Ghossein to lead Jordan Telecom Group

Jordan Telecom Group announced today following its Board meeting the appointment of its new CEO Mr. Mickael Ghossein, who is charged with taking Jordan Telecom Group into a new era based on his long term expertise in Jordan and internationally.

Ghossein, previously CEO of Jordanian GSM operator MobileCom, moves from his current role as Executive Vice President of Jordan Telecom Group, a role which has seen him preparing the ground for the newly energized JT Group's operations as the company moves forward in Jordan's highly competitive market.

"Jordan Telecom Group has succeeded in scoring tremendous achievements in the past few years, and has contributed heavily to the development of the Jordanian ICT industry," said Mickael Ghossein, CEO of Jordan Telecom Group. "With the integration of the Group earlier this year, we will be able to develop innovative new services, technologies and solutions, thus building business and domestic services that will keep the nation at the forefront of the global development of advanced technologies."

As part of Jordan Telecom Group's strategy towards integrating its operations and capabilities to provide stronger customer value, Ghossein will be taking the Jordanian ICT industry into a new era by further introducing new products, solutions and converged offerings which will combine the strengths and capabilities of the Group's member companies: Jordan Telecom, MobileCom, Wanadoo and e-dimension. Dr Shabib Ammari, Chairman of the Jordan Telecom Board of Director, commended Mr Ghossein's abilities to drive Jordan Telecom forward. Mickael Ghossein
Mickael Ghossein has over 20 years experience with France Telecom and over 30 years experience in the telecom sector. He started his career path with Thomson Production Center for five years. During these years, he worked as a Telecom advisor and trained staff and engineers to work in Iraq and he himself moved to Baghdad for two years working on VHF-UHF radio and Telephone Technology. Ghossein Kicked off his career with France Telecom as Director of the Development and After Sales Center for Wireless, managing a team of 40 employees.

In 1989 he was promoted to Director of Radio Products Division and was involved in launching a new Mobile Terminal (GSM, RadioCom 2000 and pagers). Later he was involved in Marketing and Business Development.

His long-standing experience with Orange and France Telecom has taken him to many countries around the world. From 1997 to 2000, Ghossein moved to Romania Chief Commercial Officer for the launch of the 2nd GSM Operator "MobilRom".

In 2000 Ghossein became the CEO of Orange Reunion where he launched the affiliate in Coast of La Reunion under highly competitive circumstances, overcoming this and gaining 25% market share within a single year.

From August 2002 until December 2005 he was at the helm of MobileCom as the Chief Executive Officer. With a strong knowledge and background his strong impact within the company and in the broader market have combined to prepare the ground for the integration of the Jordan Telecom Group's operations into a new, simpler and more direct proposition for customers.

Early 2006, Ghossein was promoted to Executive Vice President to the Jordan Telecom Group, as part of the Integration process that was implemented.

Ghossein holds an Engineering Diploma from ISEN University in France and a Master's degree from University of Lyon.
