The three-day event, taking place at the Cairo International Convention and Exhibition Centre, is the only global travel exhibition dedicated for the main markets in this region.
The percentage of trade visitors has risen up by 14% compared to the figures of last year. The Exhibitors have expressed a high degree of satisfaction with the quality of visitors this year, indicating that participation in the event added true value to their business.

Exhibitor personnel at Egyptian travel operator Travco, a regular exhibitor at the event since its inception, said this year's event attracted more exhibitors than last year.

"There is a great emphasis on the eastern Mediterranean markets and we need to take advantage of such events to market Egypt with its diverse tourism products. We are trying to market Marsa Matrouh as a new destination, which has Almaza Beach Resort. 38 km East Matrouh,"

said Yara Salib, director of marketing and public relations at Travco.

Travco, Egypt's leading leisure group announces the launch of its new brand -JAZ Resorts. Travco Group has launched the first phase of its latest project the Mirabel resort on July 15th, 2006. Mirabel Beach Resort is the first of four hotels to open at the Mirabel Resort in Sharm El Shiekh

The director of KH Holidays, Khalaf Al Mane, said the success of MTF managed to attract strong attention from the Government.

"The event is very well organised and the number of visitors has significantly increased. Egypt is a very important market and Kuwait Airlines operates 6 flights to Egypt and there's a plan to operate to Marsa Alam airport" he said.

The Kosovo delegation, a first-time participant, said they were impressed with the level of organization of the event.

"This is a very successful event. We have been able to market the cultural tourism in Kosovo as well as creating a network of relations with many travel operators. This mingling will help us understand the market better and design our strategies accordingly," said a delegation member.

"I hope we can have more than one fair per year," he added.
