Last opportunity to apply for the Lloyds TSB Dubai Small Business Awards 2006

The first annual Lloyds TSB Small Business Awards 2006 were launched on 30th July 2006 to recognise and reward the outstanding contributions made to the UAE's economy, development and success by small businesses in the region. Corporate supporters include i-mate, Dubai Eye 103.8, AXA Insurance, Emirates Today, Links Group, Allied Pickfords and James Berry & Associates as well as the British Business Group.

Giles Cunningham, Chief Executive Officer of Lloyds TSB Group Middle East, said:

Lloyds TSB Dubai is part of one of the world's largest banking groups and is the only Aaa rated bank in the UAE. The Lloyds TSB Small Awards 2006 will include the categories 'Entrepreneurial Start-Up', 'Outstanding Customer Service', 'Advertising Impact', 'Corporate Social Responsibility', 'Inspirational Leadership' and the overall 'Small Business of the Year' Award.

Applications for the awards are accepted from all small businesses based in the UAE with up to 50 employees and less than AED 25 million revenue. Applicants do not have to be customers of Lloyds TSB and can apply online quickly and easily. Awardees will be selected by an independent panel of judges and the awards ceremony will be held on 5th November 2006 at the Godolphin Ballroom at Jumeirah Emirates Towers.
