- PRESS RELEASE
In a new step asserting STC's commitment to providing the best telecom services to all its Kingdom-based customers, the company has recently announced the launching of international roaming service to the benefit of all Al-Jawal customers subscribing to Jawal Net and MMS service.
Jawal Net will offer Al-Jawal customers access to browse the internet through mobile phone and enjoy numerous services and benefits such as the downloading of MMS contents. It will further allow monitoring of stock exchange transactions, viewing of email and use of all internet applications. This is achieved by connecting the set to the computer through the various data transfer networks (GPRS/EDGE/3G/3.5G) with speed as high as 1.8 MB/second.
SAWA mobile customers can now benefit from this service as a new bonus to this customer group. Moreover, Jawal Net service has been spread over different categories to ensure service availability to al Al-Jawal customers.
It is worthwhile noting that since the launch of the Jawal Net service, STC was keen to upgrade the service on a constant basis. Upgrades already achieved include the addition of high speeds and making them available to all Al Jawal customers. This reflects STC commitment to offering its customers fine-tuned highly efficient services
