Banks need to deal with unpredictable dynamics of the market and increased competition which brings in higher risk exposure. Leading regional and international financial risk experts will meet at the Risk Management Congress in Dubai on 16 - 20 September 2006 to identify risks and understand how to mitigate them in this unique market.
The event includes over 40 chief risk officers and global heads of risk from Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan, Samba Financial Group, HSBC Operational Risk Consultancy Division, Moody's Investors Services, ABN AMRO and many others.
Amongst the highlights of the Congress will be a keynote address by Charles Freeland, Deputy Secretary General of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision at the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, acting as the principal secretary for the Basel Committee giving a comprehensive update and assessment on Basel II.
The event will also bring the financial regulators of the Central Bank of the UAE, Bahrain Monetary Agency (BMA), Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) and QFC Regulatory Authority together.
