DCCI honors outstanding employees during its annual staff gathering ceremony

Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) held its third annual staff gathering ceremony on Saturday at Al Yassat Hall in Al Murooj Rotana Hotel in Dubai.

The celebration was attended by Abdul Rahman Ghanem Al Mutaiwee, Director General of DCCI, Hamad Buamim, Deputy Director General of DCCI, directors of departments and the employees of DCCI.

In his speech, Al Mutaiwee praised the efforts paid by the DCCI's employees which highly contributed to the recognized position of the DCCI among other Dubai establishments. He said that the staff gathering ceremony is one of the DCCI's initiatives through which it aims to ensure consistency among its team.

"It is a nice opportunity to evaluate and highlight the efforts of the DCCI's staff which have helped in developing the overall performance of the Chamber and upgrading its value-added services provided to the members and business community. Our celebration provides a chance for our employees to exchange ideas and knowledge about the effective performance of manpower which makes an establishment a success," said Al Mutaiwee.

He stressed the good performance of the DCCI's departments highlighting the suitable work environment which the Chamber was keen to provide its employees. He also highlighted the efforts of the Human Resources Department in providing the Chamber with a well-qualified and skilled manpower who could attribute to the support of the Chamber's mission and objectives.

Shaikha Al Mansouri, Director of the Human Resources Department at the DCCI, also praised the Chamber's vision and strategy in coping with the economic development of Dubai and providing recognized services to its members through a number of qualified staff who work in the spirit of one team.

"The Human Resources Department is committed to offer the organization with the best qualified personnel and provide them with the appropriate environment that increases their productivity. The department also has adopted the best practices in managing individuals and enhancing vocational skills through providing the employees with training programs," she said.

Al Mansouri pointed out that the Human Resources Department has recently issued a new manual for the human resources policies and procedures to provide the Chamber's departments with information about the employees' relations and the authorization and responsibilities determined.

Al Mutaiwee, Buamim and Al Mansouri handed over the certificates of appreciation and cash prizes to over 45 employees who reported a recognized performance and those who took part in the preparation of the nomination papers of the Dubai Government Excellence Program 2005-2006 according to categories which include the outstanding department, the outstanding management, the outstanding government employee, the outstanding administrative practice and the outstanding team.
