Innovative business training focuses on individual needs

Spectrum Training Services to offer business training that focuses on individual needs in organisational/human resource management and employee development in Jordan.

The courses and workshops developed by Spectrum Training Services are designed to meet the specific learning objectives and match the needs of audiences from both the public and private sectors. They are provided in stand-alone or modular and interchangeable form to allow content to be chosen as part of a wider development programme.

Spectrum Training Services' innovative approach includes pre-course activities such as on-line diagnostics, assessments and questionnaires, designed to connect learners with course content, and "impact"-learning retention.

"Our accelerated learning methodologies engage learners, and generate 'response-ability' to ensure the positive effects of active learning result in improved individual and organisational performance," says Joy Wilson, who runs Spectrum Training Services. A mentoring service can be provided via a dedicated telephone number, an e-mail address or on a one-to-one basis.

"A personal coaching service allows people to explore what they want to achieve and tap into their own abilities," adds Joy.

Local consultants
The services of local Jordanian consultants can be called upon when the company is delivering the training, or courses can be designed to support and train employees in-house.
A range of assessment methods is used to check the effectiveness of the training. These include customised delegate evaluations, in paper and electronic formats, to assess work-based activities. Individual abilities can be assessed against the competencies required and personal coaching can be provided to address shortfalls in knowledge or skill.

In support of Spectrum's training, Jean Michel Poulalion, human resources development manager for Jordan Telecom, wrote: "The quality of work was high, and the training delivered was appreciated by the management of Jordan Telecom. Personally, I really valued the professionalism of the course provider and their availability even after the end of the project."

Rosemary Kavanagh, head of department for pharmaceuticals giant AstraZeneca, wrote: "Two successful training events fully met their objectives - I was pleased with the opportunities for discussion they provided and impressed with the outcomes."

Spectrum have designed and delivered development solutions for many clients in Jordan including: Ministry of Information and Communications Technology; Greater Amman Municipality; Umniah; Hikma; Aseza; Jordan Telecom; Ejada; JRTV; Ejabi; Maani Components; and Ferring Pharmaceuticals.
