Aiming at expanding the scope of business, NAS targets 15 - 20 per cent incremental business that leads to improved and diversified revenues. This also means that NAS will now be recognized by the aviation industry as a certified provider of aircraft maintenance at the Kuwait International Airport and will also provide options to airlines to choose between two companies; NAS and Kuwait Airways, allowing for service improvement and quality lead.
Engineer Naji Al Ajmi, CEO National Aviation Services stated:
"We are proud to have obtained EASA-145 approval in such a short span of time since we applied three months ago. This is another milestone in the history of our young and dynamic organization that marks a turning point in our endeavors to provide a comprehensive service package to our valued clients including ground handling, passenger services, meet and assist and lately, line maintenance".
"A professional team, state of the art equipments, advanced IT infrastructure and EU approved spare parts and tools clearly demonstrates our potential as a cutting edge aviation services company and will put us in the big league of airline handling companies in the region." Al Ajmi added
With ambitious plans aiming at qualifying the company to provide line maintenance for other types of aircrafts, NAS is heavily investing in equipping engineering department with approved tools, ground support equipments, Handling and cargo systems that conform to EASA safety regulations and standards. This includes Airbus A330, A340, Boeing 777, 747 and 737 as well.
This achievement coincides with the modified rules DGCA recently adopted in regard to licensing creating an opportunity for NAS to target Kuwait register airlines and opening horizons for competition that will lead to improved services on offer for airlines to choose. The competition is well poised to provide chances for NAS to target new airlines at the 'Routes' conference in Dubai scheduled 17th - 19th this month.
