UAE exports to Japan up 65%

UAE exports to Japan were worth $10.35bn for the first four months of 2006, representing a 65% increase compared to the same period in 2005, according to the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The UAE is Japan's fourth largest market, accounting for 5% of its total imports, mainly in crude oil. By contrast, Japanese exports to the UAE were valued at $1.9bn, primarily in cars and electrical products.
