Agency law to encourage business

New regulations to the UAE trade agency laws give brand owners greater to power to pull out of distribution contracts, putting agents under more pressure to maximise their performance, Gulf News reported. New ministerial regulations include a provision whereby retailers can seek deregistration of an agency agreement prior to its expiry date. Analysts say it will encourage new players to enter the market.
