Esca to licence brokerage firms

Foreign brokerage firms operating in the UAE will in future be licenced by the market regulator, the Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority, and not the central bank, according to local media. Local firm's brokerage activities outside the country will also be regulated by Esca.
