'The 13th Oil and Gas Show served as a dual platform that on the one hand provided viable business development opportunities for sourcing advanced energy sector solutions, and on the other provided a forum for addressing topical issues pertinent to the sector. OGS 2006 was highly successful in meeting its remit in both instances - not only were many promising leads obtained and several high-worth deals closed, but the show's series of seminars was well-received by industry professionals,' said Anselm Godinho, Managing Director, IC&E, organizers of the event.
Renewing focus on Health and Safety for oil, gas and petrochemical facilities, the annual event also showcased innovative technologies and services pertinent to multiple industry sectors through the Arab Instrumentation and Automation Exhibition (AIA). The AIA was set up as a niche platform in light of increasing demand for a viable avenue to comprehensively explore process automation, instrumentation and process control technologies.
'OGS 2006 has crossed all expectations in terms of participation, technology showcased, partnerships signed and business conducted,'
added Anselm.
Kaye Krause-Whitening, Sales and Marketing Manager, Petrofac, the international Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company, said, 'Our participation at OGS is important in terms of securing presence in the local community. The OGS networking platform provided us an opportunity to liaise with existing and potential regional partners.'
Nidal Abdel Hadi, Asst. Sales Manager, Gulf Industrial Gases added, 'This was our first participation in the Oil and Gas Show, but we will certainly be exhibiting here again. We managed to gain access to a high quality visitors from the UAE, KSA, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, South Africa and the UK, and are looking forward to returning next year.'
The 14th edition of OGS is expected to be held in December 2007 from the 4th - 6th, in Halls 3 and 4 of the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
