Gulf anti-terror spending

Arabian Gulf states are spending billions of dollars on anti-terrorism measures, including security fences in the desert and iris scanning technology at airports, according to AP. Al Qaeda recently warned that the Gulf is among its next targets. Qatar suffered a terrorist attack in 2005, and a UAE official said several terror plots had been broken up.
