Dubai Pavilion to debut at the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Watch Fair

Dubbed as one of the largest jewellery fairs in Asia, the biggest pearl and the second biggest diamond and gemstone fair in the world, the show is scheduled for September 18-23, 2006 in Hong Kong. Over 2,300 exhibitors from 47 different countries are expected to participate in the trade fair which attracts over 40, 000 visitors.

After the successful debut of the Dubai Pavilion at the JCK Las Vegas International Jewellery trade show held in June 2006, participation at the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Watch Fair is yet another initiative taken by DGJG to maintain and strengthen Dubai's status as the Jewellery Destination of the World.

"The September Hong Kong Jewellery & Watch Fair is the single largest display of the world's jewellery and jewellery products in Asia and it is a great opportunity to showcase to the world Dubai's variety, quality and value offerings in jewellery and its world class manufacturing facilities,"

Prominent players in Dubai's jewellery industry like Soni Gold, The Jewellery Store, Damas, Art Oro Creations, Chalyano and Rosyblue have signed up to participate in the international fair.

Mr. Gabriel Nasser, IT Director, The Jewellery Store, commented, "The show will help us to raise awareness of our radio frequency identification technology that helps to fully track and monitor jewellery and high value items. The show will give us international exposure."

The six- day international trade event will take place at the AsiaWorld-Expo and the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center. The Dubai Pavilion is located in the AsiaWorld-Expo Booth No: 7L 02-12 & 7M0-11.
