Hendrian, a graduate of the University of Bombay, began his career in the hospitality industry with assignments in food and beverage in India and Iraq before joining Hyatt Regency Cologne as restaurant manager in 1989. In 1993, Hendrian was promoted to assistant Director of Food and Beverage at Hyatt Regency Jeddah and subsequently to Hyatt Regency Cologne.

He then went on to specialize in rooms management at Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill, Washington DC in 1998. Hendrian returned to Hyatt Regency Cologne in 1998 as Director of Rooms. Shortly after, Hendrian accepted a new promotion as Resident Manager in Grand Hyatt Berlin in 2000 before joining the pre opening team of Grand Hyatt Dubai up to 2004.

Hendrian rejoined the team at Hyatt Regency Cologne in 2004 as general manager before accepting his most recent appointment as general manager at the newly refurbished Hyatt Regency Dubai in September 2006.

"I am very exited to be back in Dubai. The city has changed considerably in the past two years and is a rapidly growing hub in the Middle East. Hyatt Regency Dubai has also undergone an extensive refurbishment and I am very keen to be part of this transformation.", said Andrew Hendrian.

With his extensive experience in Europe and the Middle East in both the Food and Beverage and room management divisions, Andrew Hendrian will no doubt bring flair and vision to the new Hyatt Regency Dubai.
