On this occasion, Sheikh Saleh N. Al-Sorayai, Chairman of SNASCO said:
'This project is a great accomplishment, reiterating the achievements that SNASCO has seen in the real-estate sector on a whole. We have chosen the Emirate of Sharjah due to its ongoing residential and commercial growth. We believe that Al Basateen will be representative of the success the residential and commercial construction industry is experiencing today.'
The chairman added that the progress of the project had already traversed the advanced stages of the development of its infra-structure as they have completed 85% of the development work.
The total area of the project will exceed 5.5 million sq ft and will include 326 plots of land for independent villas, featuring different sized areas starting from 6000 sq feet to 15700 sq feet, all designed to fit the different needs of its customers with competitive prices. Additionally, the project is distinguished by its strategic location, situated near the largest academic community in the emirate: the Sharjah University City, which features the American University of Sharjah, University City, technical academies, medicine and other academic institutions.
Commuting from Al Basateen to Sheikh Zayed road will take roughly 20 minutes via the fast lane along the Al Khawaneej Zone, which is anticipated to be one of the most important roads joining Dubai to the Northern Emirates.
The mega project has an area of 3.5 million sq ft designated for residential villas, which is approximately 65.4% of the whole area, with the remaining space being utilized for public facilities such as a shopping mall, entertainment centers, schools, general amenities and services. While the development itself is well planned and designed, the project will also make sure that basic conveniences such as parking spaces and access to different areas are easy and comfortable.
Officials say that the development of Al Basateen will rapidly move ahead in tune with Sharjah's fast paced and booming property sector. The project will also prominently feature in Sharjah's overall development, impacting positively on its real estate and construction sector.
