Al Fares Dubai 2006 goes global

'This has been a dream come true,' commented Mr. Satish Khanna, General Manager of Al Fajer Information & Services, the organizers of the show. Scheduled to take place from December 11 to 13, 2006 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre (DIEC), Al Fares Dubai has already established itself as the # 1 exhibition for horse products and services in Asia and Africa.

An outstanding feature of Al Fares Dubai 2006 is the global support that it has attracted from important associations and organizations from all over the world - Equine Canada - the national equestrian federation of Canada, La Rural - the oldest exhibition organizers in Argentina, UBIFrance - a government body responsible for promoting the foreign trade of France which has included Al Fares Dubai 2006 in its official programme of overseas exhibitions to be attended for the second time, UNIRE - the most powerful racing organization in Italy, Racing South Africa - the apex body controlling flat racing in South Africa, Indian Council for Leather Exports, Beijing Trading Connexion and Austrade - a government body responsible for promoting Australia's foreign trade. Official support has also been extended by the UAE Ministry of Agriculture, Dubai's Department of Tourism and Marketing, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation. The organisers are being assisted by a higher organising committee comprising Dr. Ahmed Billah, Veterinary Consultant and Mr. Satish Seemar, four times champion trainer.

Al Fares Dubai 2006 has once again been developed around a distinct philosophy that is based on providing a top class exhibition, an absorbing educational programme and entertainment. While the exhibition will showcase the entire range of equine products and services, the education segment will include a number of seminars, demonstrations and visits to Dubai's equine infra-structure. Entertainment will include the Al Fares Dubai 2006 Dinner, embassy receptions, a polo match at Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club, pony rides and an equine fashion show.

A horse auction will also be organized by Al Faisal Stud.

Germany with 19 companies and counting is poised to emerge as the top overseas exhibitor but the biggest growth has come from South Africa with 10 companies (up from 2), India with 12 companies (up from 3) and Italy with 12 companies (up from 4). Other big groups will be from USA, Canada, UK, France, Scandinavian countries and Australia. Brazil, Argentina, Norway, Bahrain and China will be first time exhibitors.

Led by Al Awani, Gulf Rider and Al Basti, the local companies are out in force and 29 companies have already signed up for booths much larger than they took during the last show. 'Even though there are now other shows in the UAE, we wait for Al Fares,' said one of the local exhibitors.

In 2004 exhibitors were delighted with the quality of visitors, with many reporting sales, orders and very strong leads from their three days at the Al Fares show. They were particularly enthusiastic about the large number of decision-makers in attendance.
