  • PRESS RELEASE

Ernst & Young, a global leader in professional services, is proud to sponsor the upcoming 12th World Route Development Forum, hosted by Dubai International airport, and held at the Dubai International Convention Center on 17-19 September 2006.

Organized at a different worldwide location every year, the forum has become the world's leading airline and airport networking event focused entirely on airline route development. Widely regarded as one of the best of its kind in the world, the forum is comprised of pre-arranged formal meetings, dedicated networking sessions, exhibition stands, specialized industry briefings and expert discussions, in which Ernst & Young is also participating.

On September 17, Richard Tollis, Partner, Aviation Infrastructure Finance - Ernst & Young UK, will be joined by a panel of industry experts to discuss the aviation industry's urgent need for bigger and better airport infrastructure. The discussion session, titled 'Routes to Growth: Financing Airport Capacity to Meet Demand,' addresses major issues and obstacles concerning the global airline industry.

Richard Tollis is responsible for aviation infrastructure finance at Ernst & Young in the UK. He has worked with major UK and European airports; the air traffic control industry; national, state and local governments; and both public and private sectors. His advice has been central to development finance, bidding consortia, credit rating strategies, public-private partnerships, finance re-structuring, and leveraged acquisitions.

Commenting on the firm's participation in the event, Edward Quinlan, UAE Country Partner - Ernst & Young said: "We are delighted to be participating in the 12th World Route Development Forum. Ernst & Young is particularly proud to be part of Dubai's thriving business landscape, evidenced in the city's continuous success in hosting such prestigious global events."
