GCC bourses need to change

The Chairman of the Egyptian Capital Market Authority believes that the Gulf stock exchanges will see a recovery but feels a number of issues need to addressed, reported Gulf News. Hani Sarie Al Deen said that Gulf bourses lack a developed secondary market, rely too much on retail stocks and suffer from a shortfall in investment bonds and too few long-term investors. He also called for greater education and transparency.
