Fujitsu Siemens Computers' regional x86 server sales doubled from 1163 units sold in Q2 2005, to 2,316 in the second quarter of this year, underlining the company's continuing success in the MEA.

"These positive results have outpaced the average industry growth of 16.7 per cent by more than six fold, strengthening our position among regional leaders in the high-end server market," said Stephane Rejasse, Managing Director, Middle East, Fujitsu Siemens Computers.

"The MEA market is very significant for Fujitsu Siemens Computers as it was the fastest growing market last year and the Q2 results have taken us even closer to achieving our corporate targets.

"Fujitsu Siemens Computers' versatile, flexible and scaleable IT solutions have triggered significant cost savings and greater return-on-investment for a growing list of satisfied customers. We will target specific vertical industries through our end-to-end tailor-made solutions."

Building on the strong performance of its flagship blade frame server, Fujitsu Siemens Computers has maintained its leading position among the top regional IT players in key Middle East markets.

Fujitsu Siemens Computers recently concluded an eight city roadshow where it showcased proven solutions that act as a blueprint for a virtualized data center. It is one of the first IT manufacturers to jointly approach the subject of virtualization on all these levels in the Middle East.

Fujitsu Siemens Computers' server portfolio includes PRIMEQUEST™ servers, PRIMEPOWER™ servers based on the SPARC64® processor running the Solaris™ operating system and PRIMERGY® Industry Standard servers. This comprehensive end-to-end server product line satisfies different service level requirements for maximum availability and scalability.
